So @StarburyMarbury was at @SoleSlamStore QC yesterday from 4-5:30PM. Thanks to all the fans of Stephon that dropped by to see him and to @jersey_haven @kixflipd_manila for making this possible! Looking forward to his return visit next year as he was such a kind and fun loving person to hang out with. Saucony Originals x Sole Slam Partnership

I was busy the other day closing a deal that will have Sole Slam have a long term partnership with Saucony Originals. I'm very excited about this because I'm a fan of the brand for quite some time now, even though I still don't have any pair of Saucony Originals yet. This is Sole Slam brand's first partnership with a sneaker brand that has a good following worldwide, so that itself is very exciting and promising. I'll be giving away rare & sample size pairs during Sole Slam 2014 on August 3 at the World Trade Center plus possibly have a Sole Slam x Saucony Originals Collab in the near future, so yeah, things are looking good. It's a great step towards a local home grown brand such as Sole Slam being recognized by international brands as a game changer in the South East Asian market. In the future, don't be surprised if  other sneaker brands will be doing collabs with other local brands here like for example Sole Academy. Sole Slam x Look/See Collab

Finally got some actual product shots of our special collaboration with Oregon based Sunglass brand Look/See. They will come in 2 designs, Matte Black Wood & Gloss Black. Both of which has the Red plus Gold accent and the modern Sole Slam logo in front. Of course, all Look/See are made of 100% UV Protectant Sun Lenses and the body is made of ultra high quality form of Acetate. The design was made by Sole Slam Manila's Creative Director Ira Cordero. 

Both designs will be released during the Sole Slam 2014 Trade Expo on August 3, 2014 at the World Trade Center for Php 3,995 together with a VIP Pass worth Php 600. Pre-orders/Reservations with down payments are now accepted via phone calls only at 6220081 11-8PM daily.

Sunday Footwork

Wore the Jordan Future Infrared for today with the wife. Watched the movie "Deliver us from evil". Hella good movie. More about the pants. Yes, I cuffed my old & unused pair of pants for the low price of Php 40 only per pants, besides the branded Jogger pants or sweatpants that I wear on a regular basis. Not bad at all, instead of storing them. Bring them to your local tailor, but make sure to bring a sample pair that they can copy. Today, as part of its Inside Access series, Nike Basketball officially unveils a brand-new in-line release of the Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low Flyknit, set to debut at retail this Fall. The sneaker, officially dubbed “Hyper Grape”, can be seen as an homage to the greatest pop-star of all-time, with the translucent outsole acting as a frame for the amazing lunar graphics on the bottom of the footbed – a clear nod to Jackson’s patented on-stage move known as the “Moonwalk”. Back in February, Kobe revealed the interesting tidbit of info that one of the upcoming low-top Kobe 9 Elite Flyknit releases would be inspired by Michael Jackson, which provides even more insight on the strength of the synergy between Kobe and Nike Basketball’s design crew.
